You’ll find that a large portion of the auctions found below are related to action figures. I’ve always appreciated the world of collectible figures and the most valuable finds in that corner of collecting are almost always prototypes. We’ve got a few of those listed as well as some other figures of value. Most of what is listed here is quite expensive, but it’s worth the money if you simply must have it. Also, I’ve added some more affordable auctions which are pretty cool buys.

Halo 3 The Rookie Sculpt Prototype - A very rough sculpt from early development. Possibly only three is the world.

Halo 2 White Spartan Green Stripes Prototype - An unreleased version of the White Spartan Halo 2 figure.

Halo 1 Gold Elite Prototype - The seller seems to confirm that there were only three of these made.

Halo 2 Mini White Grunt Prototype - This prototype is more affordable because more were made than the above figures. They were never officially released, but the seller has three of them.

Gears of War Marcus Fenix Figure Gold Lancer Vaniant - Many collectors want to get their hands on this figure and this may be your moment to buy. The reason being that %25 of buy will go to American Red Cross.

Gears of War 3 Trashball Cole Statue - Only 100 of these out there people. This auction has been around for some time and we have actually featured it before… maybe the seller should take a hint and go down to maybe $250.

M. Bison and Dimitri Figures - Not terribly valuable, but they are up for a very nice price. Good buy for fans.

Zelda Twilight Princess Link & Epona Club Nintendo Gold Statue - This statue has sold for several times more than the current bid in the past. Keep your eye on this one guys…

Blizzard 5 Years of Service Sword - Blizzard is known for giving employees gifts for the number of years of service. This sword was given for 5 years of work.

There’s a nice variety of collectibles here today from very different gaming eras and platforms. One item stands out from the rest because it’s a promo of such quality that it raises an eyebrow when you see what game it’s promoting! Check it out…

Capcom Plasma Sword Letter Opener - Plasma Sword was a quiet release in the U.S. and not that big in Japan. It was actually a sequel to Star Gladiator (which is why it’s called Star Gladiator 2 in Japan) but the graphics were pretty sad for a Dreamcast release. Knowing how very average this game is, it’s an amazing surprise to see this top quality promo. Leave it “Capcom” side up on display is my advice… unless you really like Plasma Sword of course.

Suikoden IV Promo Coin - 100 Potch coin up for $15. Not a bad deal really.

Pac-Man Pillow - This pillow appears to be in great shape, the color hasn’t faded, and no creepy stains! lol. Honestly though, it’s a nice bit of gaming merchandise from 30 years ago. I suggest making an offer of $25, then move to $34 if turned down. After that, it’s your call because over $30 is pretty high.

Gears of War 3 Gamestop Prize Watch - The seller mentions that 25 of these were given out as prizes from Gamestop. While limited collectibles are always in the spotlight, something from a game distributor rather than a developer is drastically lower in value. Even so, there aren’t that many out there.

Nintendo Tech Support Hat - I’m sure many Nintendo collections out there are missing this interesting item.

Pac-Man 1982 Sealed Figures - Wow, no bids yet. Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man figures both still sealed in their blister packs. It’s a nice grab for the classic gamers out there.

Nintendo Wii Sports Jacket - The tag shows the size as medium. The starting bid is very nice too.

Metal Gear Solid Postcards - I almost didn’t list this auction because the price is just way too high and there’s no option to make an offer. I suggest contacting the seller direct if you want to change their mind.

Diablo T-Shirt - With the nearing release of Diablo III, this promo t-shirt from the first game really holds some value and yet… it hasn’t sold yet.

Here’s an update on the recent Halo auctions for Child’s Play Charity… By the auctions closing, they managed to total up to $6203.10!! Not bad at all, right? Congratulations to everyone who donated the items and to those who bid. I’m sure the winners of the items are very pleased.

There’s a nice line up of auctions here but we’re going to open with three submitted by Roland who has submitted auctions here on VGA before.

Steel Battalion Cockpit - This is one impressive piece of gaming control. The TV and stool are included so you really do get what you see.

Xbox Promos - A nice variety of Xbox promos here. These items are normally sold in pairs or on their own on eBay, so it’s nice to see so many in one bundle.

Densha De Go PS1 Controller - Densha De Go is a train simulation series from Japan. This controller gives you optimal control for the game.

Game Boy Game Showcase - Back in the days of the original Gameboy, this display case would be amazing to both carry and show off your game collection. This one is still in it’s original packaging.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Watch - The seller explains that the watch being sold is #131 of 400 even though the pictures show #409 of 500. Is the “400″ a typo? I’m not aware of a limited 400 MGS4 watch but maybe Riku can shed more light on the issue. He is the VGA expert when it comes to Metal Gear collectibles…

Konami Gakken Super Cobra - There’s an auction currently on eBay for one of these priced over $1000 (I feel bad for anyone who blindly goes for it). This auction is actually still a little high, but it’s a great item in terms of early Konami games.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Extreme Box - This four disc set also includes a Snake Kubrick figure! It’s an amazing looking case as well.

Pac-Man Trash Can - The price is high, but it’s in great condition. Perfect for any game room.

Donkey Kong & Dig Dug Promo Balloons - The pictures in the auction show the balloons only slightly blown up to show the images printed. The seller explains these were given out at CES in the early 80′s.

Good afternnon VGA readers. Christmas is right around the corner so I hope everyones getting ready for an awesome break and plenty of time to play games and do the stuff we all love. For me that’s peace of mind, being able to just relax and play games when I want. Of course going outside for a walk by the water is a bonus but it’s winter here so can’t really do that. I will definitely party it up as well and hoping everyone else has the luxury to enjoy their break like me. Let’s move onto the auctions:

- Lucasfilm LucasArts Loom Limited Edition Soundtrack Signed – Signed by Brian Moriarty, you won’t find a classic PC game signed by the creator of the game.

- Nes Original Nintendo Entertainment System Sign Plate - This is a really nice original Nintendo Plated Sign. These are usually huge but this specific one is made small. Not a bad piece to have in the game room.

- StarFox Competition Cart - It’s currently at $350 with no bids but I am going to place a bet that someone will eventaully bid. Although it is Christmas time it might play a role in it’s 0 bid value.

- Mike Tyson NES Punch Out Trophy Figure - Really nice collectible to have. I enjoy seeing these trophys as they capture a true part of gaming histroy in figure form. Punch Out is a classic title that will always be remembered and it’s so cool how they made figures back in the day.

- Panzer Dragoon Saga Sealed - This is rated an 85 from Video Game Authority. It has a few rips in the plastic but overall a great conditioned sealed game.

 

Back in the 80′s, Nintendo went a bit crazy with merchandising. They knew kids were getting into gaming and everyone was talking about Mario. You might be surprised with some of the things that turned up. Every auction here is from seller 8bitthumbs. Their collection of Nintendo merch is pretty interesting.

Full Set of Pins - This is a full set of Nintendo pins and they are all sealed to their original cards. The price is higher than you may expect per pin, but this is the full set.

Super Mario Bros Leather Belt - It’s a bit worn and the color is cracked a bit. Still, the price makes sense.

Super Mario Bros Plastic Tablecover - This is just one part of an entire birthday party set up themed to Super Mario Bros. There’s also party invites, cups, and some of those curled paper blower things that would always break lol.

Super Mario Bros Sticker Book - The stickers are all intact and the book is in great shape.

Super Mario Bros Activity Book - Weee, an activity book! lol, this book is also in near mint condition.

Nintendo Power Folder - This caught my eye because Link and Mario are side by side. Pretty cool

Legend of Zelda Hat - Man, this brings back memories. Anyone used to have one of these?

Punch Out Mini Pinball - Punch Out doesn’t really translate well to these mini pinball games, but I still want it. It’s sealed but the card is pretty worn.

Nintendo Power Zelda Wallet - This wallet is still sealed and the color has done well through time without fading.

Zelda II Link Figure - I’ve seen this loose before but this is the first time I’ve seen it still sealed.

Super Mario Bros Ball Dart Game (Sealed) - What’s a dart ball game? It’s one of those target games where you throw balls wrapped in velcro. The target is made of a material to make the ball stick to the target. This set is factory sealed.

Good morning VGA readers. I have a ton of cool auctions for you today from controllers to signed posters and more. This might be a good time to find some bargains as Christmas is coming up so people usually start to sell items to make some extra cash for Christmas so if you see a good deal that’s probably one of the reasons you’ll get it.

First auction is for a Final Fantasy Collectible Lot. It includes some great Final Fantasy stuff like the Final Fantasy VII 1997 Mini Counter Display which looks to be mint(it’s also framed). Also you have the rare limited Gold Character Cards. The cardass gold cards are limited to 500 world wide and there is a total of 4 cards. They were a campaign prize in 1997 and was only obtainable through a draw which if you were lucky you were mailed a card with a letter. A complete set is extremely hard to find and goes for about $1000 without the official envelope or letter. This set comes with the official envelope and letter, all in mint condition. You have more goodies and the price is VERY reasonable if you ask me, it’s almost an amazing deal, but it is high for most.

- Sony PSP Coca Cola Limited Edition not for sale - Only 1300 copies were made, which was given away in a Coke Style special event in March 2005. This is very rare and if you want more information check out the auction.

- Atari 2600 Pitfall Game Cartridge- It’s autographed by David Crane Game’s Designer. It was signed at the  2011 Portland Oregon retro Gaming Expo. The cartridge label does have wear, white scuff on back of cartridge. The autograph is clear, done in black permanent marker.

- Fatal Fury 2, 3, Special Japan Merchandise - Not often you’ll see Fatal Fury merchandise. It includes a Notebook, Cardboard, and huge plastic string bag.

- Koffi: Yellow Kopter (Atari 5200) Signed & Numbered copy - This is Kofi:  Yellow Kopter for the Atari 5200.  First Edition, Hand signed and hand numbered by the author, Ron Lloyd.  Both the box and cartridge are signed and numbered.  Includes box and manual and cartridge – everything that came with it. This is #79.

- Call of Duty MW 3 Poster Signed - It’s a big poster hand signed by the dev team. This really interests me because it’s Infinity Ward who signed it, the original creators. It also comes with a bag and patches.

- HUGE consoles, games, accessories LOT - A very rare chance in a single auction to own all these goodies. The amount of goods in this auction far surpass the price so it’s an amazgin deal in my opinion.

- Turbografx Express with AC power and Car Adapter - All boxed and complete. I really wanted one of these when I was younger because the technology was amazing. Auction is currently at $450 with one bid.

- RODLAND – PAL-A Nintendo NES Game - It was exclusive To Italy so you can imagine how rare this is. You can view the gameplay here. It’s pretty cool if you ask me, not complicated but fun to play.

- Chrono Trigger Sealed SNES - A sealed copy, but looks to be in average shape. Auction is at $305 but I would ask to see more pictures.

- Halo Reach Standee Clock – This is really cool, I didn’t see this any any game store near me and I visit quite a lot of them.

- Donkey Kong Jr. Math - The box has some wear but it’s complete with inserts and manual. One of the rarer games for the NES it’s on auction for $250 with one bid.

- Gears Of War 3 Locust Edition - The Locust bust was selling for $900 at one point and it’s well worth $450 alone but in this lot you have a ton of extras that is worth looking into.

- MSX game METAL GEAR Konami 1987 Japan - A rare version of the Metal Gear game that was released for the NES.

- Huge PC Game Lot - Wow a lot of great games in here, what a way to bring me back to 1995 with titles such as Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry and Monkey Island. Although I’m suprised the seller doesn’t have any King’s Quest titles…If you really want to go back to 90s Pc era click here.

- The Flintstones: Surprise at Dino Peak - This game along with Rescue Rangers 2 and Duck Tales 2 are on my top list of NES titles to get in the next year, and I promise myself I will.

- Hagane - Limited to blockbuster stores worldwide this game has game appeal because it’s a side scroller full of action. For $140 it’s not a bad price although you can find cheaper from time to time. We all know how much a sealed game goes for!

- Nintendo 64 GEOFFREY Controller TOYS”R”US - This was obviously only available at Toys “R” Us in Japan. Doesn’t get rarer than this for N64 controllers.

- Ace Attorney Gyakuten Saiban Figure Complete Collection Set - For those who played the game it’s a nice figure collection of the characters.

- Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers 2 – Ah at last a good price for this game, $85 but I’m sure it’s just for the cart. Still a good price if you ask me.

I’ve got a great line up of video game auctions to show you today. First up is this GTA III 10th Anniversary KNUCKLE-DUSTER Mug! Some of you might have seen these already, but if you haven’t these are just the coolest things!

Supposedly these are “limited edition” according to the seller but I haven’t found any mention of it at the Rockstar Online Store which is actually selling these for cheaper. These were debuted as “limited giveaways” at the Rockstar Comic Con booth in early October of this year, so it’s sort of unclear what’s the official status. But to you gamers who couldn’t care if there are limited you can buy them at their Online Store. Still, wherever you buy it I think that the GTA 3 Knucle Mug belongs next to the PC of every GTA fan. Simply an awesome item!

WoW Blizzcon Doomhammer L.A.R.P. edition – “Blizzcon exclusive Doomhammer. Picked it up myself at Blizzcon and now realize i don’t have the room for it. Doomhammer is made of rubber with PVC core so you can swing it around at your friends. Very cool item. Box is a little banged up from being carried all day at Blizzcon but hammer is in perfect condition”
Special Edition Ocarina of Time from Spencer Register – There are collectors who will buy this Spencer Ocarina, and then there are collectors who will wait for the Famitsu Bro’s Ocarina which is rarely seen. The difference is that the Spencer Ocarina isn’t official as the Famitsu Bros, and it’s also cheaper. Not sure about the quality but they do have a good reputation otherwise people wouldn’t be bidding/buying their Ocarinas. The auction’s for $127!
GTA San Andreas Collectible Domino Set - Nice limited edition collectible item for GTA San Andreas. I think that the GTA series has some of the most unique collectibles.
Rendering Ranger R2 Super Famicom – I posted this game a while back as one of the rarest Super Famicom games produced. It’s not on auction starting at $180!
Official Vintage Atari set of six Glasses – Really cool vintage glasses here. They look a little worn out but they would be really cool to have. Auctions only at $10.50. Great piece for an Atari lover.
Original Sega JURASSIC PARK Video Game 4ft vinyl banner 1992 – I can’t stress how many people I knew owned this game. It was one of the “big” games for Sega in terms of marketing. I mean even watching the commercial made you want to get it. Now I’m not talking about the SNES version since obviously the SEGA version was the better one. This is a neat vintage posters for anyone who was “touched” by this game .
PlayStation PS3 and PSP media book – “This was given to the game magazines to support PS3 and PSP.The book contain information about PS3/PSP and their games (half book PS3 ad half PSP) and also 2 disc with hi-res picture from the games/logos and artworks.”

Video Game Auctions:

- Blizzcon 2011 Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm Signed Poster - This auction is for an exclusive Blizzcon 2011 poster that was made available only to individuals that won the rare special price during a specific time at the SC2 demo stations.

- Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Signed - This is a signed cover for COD MW 3 by 9 people from the development team at Infinity Ward. I assume it’s the main guys. A nice piece if you’re a MW fan.

- Uncharted 3 Bundle Signed - You have a lot of goodies in this bundle. Sure there was quite a few that surfaced on eBay. You have a limited edition poster signed, and the gift bag which has tons of goodies.

- Odd World Abe’s Exodus Standee - This is cool because it doesn’t show up on eBay ever, also it requires batteries for the back because when you push the red button at the bottom it makes far noises.

- Halo (Xbox 360) Collectors Edition Display 3D Standee - Typical Halo 3 mini display but in great shape from 2007. Will definitely become more of a collector’s item as the years go by. It’s only at $60 with 9 days left.

- Original NES Carrying Case - Hmm pretty expensive. Is it worth it? No not really but it could fetch between $50-$100 depending on the audience at any given time.

- Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Launch Kit - I don’t know what to say about the price but it is a rare Launch Kit for the Ps3 given out to limited staff and media.

- Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask Goron Link Figure – This is the rarest of the figures in this collection. It’s also a sealed Goron which is harder to find. I remember the entire set sell for $600 brand new! What an amazing price as these can fetch easily $300 for each figure.

- Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess Trading Cards Complete - This is complete with all 9 gold cards. There are 50 base cards, 27 silver cards, and tattoos as well.

- Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past Sealed - A nice copy of LOZ a Link to the past sealed. The price is very fair but you might want to ask the seller if there is any damage to the wrap or dents to the box.

- The Legend of Zelda Trophy figure with score card & Link Figurine – This is a near complete set with just one missing “Link battles Zola”. The boxes are in great shape but also it comes with a Zelda figure. $179 for the whole thing is a great deal.
