I have some cool video game auctions to show you but before I do that I would like to give credit to Matrix6 who is the original owner of the beautiful “Uncharted 3 Travellers Chest” picture on the beach! I was fortune enough to be informed that Matrix6 took all the time and effort to make those pictures on the beach which can be seen here, and I was told that enough people have stolen his pictures to use on eBay without giving him proper credit. It really only takes 5 seconds to type “credit to:” and the persons name. Reason I am mentioning this is because we all should make an effort to give credit where it’s due, and the seller of the UC3 Chest didn’t give credit . Respect goes a long way let me tell ya folks. We’ve all been there where someone steals our pics (or info). (Thanks Beau!)

Moving onto the video game auctions, there’s some awesome auctions ending soon such as the Mario Stage Figures! You really need to check them out to see how cool they are. I use to own a couple, but never saw the rest of them. Anyways I thought I’d mention that they are ending in about an hour and a half so check it out!

The majority of today’s auctions are for promo items, but I’ve included a few other gems that everyone may want to check out. The Club Nintendo item you will find below is very interesting because it’s not the typical Mario figure, pin, statue, etc. You’ll see what I mean…

Metal Gear Solid 2 Poster - The title on the poster is printed in stylish silver foil. The seller has it framed in the picture, but the frame is not included in the buy.

Tomb Raider Pewter Figure - This sloppy rushed looking blister pack contains a pewter figurine of Lara Croft. Keep in mind that this is a very early item in the Tomb Raider series.

Crash Bandicoot Plush - The Playstation mascot (once upon a time) in plush form! It’s a great addition to any Playstation collection.

Zelda Twillight Princess Coin - This promo was given out at ComicCon 2005. The seller mentions only 5,000 were made. The quality is amazing.

Sweet Tooth Mask - Likely due to the upcoming new entry in the Twisted Metal series, this auction has been getting some attention. The bids are stacking up.

Pac-Man Bed Sheets - Very interesting to see the color on these sheets last so long. Oddly, there’s no buy now price.

Invasion of Nintendo VHS - Ok, yes… the price is beyond crazy. The tape is rare and normally found in poor condition. You can make an offer and hope the seller will realize that they aren’t holding the holy grail of promos lol. If you just want to watch it, you can find it on YouTube.

Pac-Man Flying Disk - A great unused Pac-Man frisbee still in it’s original packaging! The price is good too.

Nintendo Banner - Here’s something to add to most any game room. The banner is four feet long and is in great shape.

Centipede Original Promos - Wow, it’s very rare to see related promos this old being sold together like this. This is an instant buy for many classic arcade gamers.

Pac-Man Plush - This plush is an official Namco item but it’s not from the easy years of Pac-Man. The tag shows it’s from 1991. Also, it looks like it’s been through the washer and dryer a couple times. The price isn’t terrible, but still too high.

Club Nintendo Star Tenbillion - Here is a unique hand held puzzle from Nintendo that turns the idea of a Rubik’s cube inside out. The goal is to get all of the matching colored beads in the same tube. Check it out…

The posters and banners listed here today vary from uncommon to very rare. Every one of them is in great shape too. We also have a bunch of figures listed and most of the auctions are complete sets. If you’re a figure collector, you will find some great sets here you can check off your list. First, let’s start with some limited print posters…

Silent Hill “I’m Alone There Now…” Poster (Limited 300) - The complete title for this piece is “I’m Alone There Now, In Our Special Place, Waiting for You” and I’m sure every Silent Hill fan remembers those haunting words. A few offers have already been made.

Final Fantasy VII Store Poster - This poster showing the release date for Final Fantasy VII is in great condition. It’s double sided and the color is a deep as it was day one.

Space Channel 5 Figures, Complete Set - Unless you’re a fan of the games, you probably wouldn’t think of Space Channel 5 when thinking of figures based on video games. This auction is for the complete set of figures and the resin statue as well. All figures are sealed.

Resident Evil 1 Figures, Complete Set - The complete set, sealed of course, comes in 5 packs but there are actually 9 figures total.  The Tyrant figure was made so huge that it needed a blister pack unique from the rest.

Resident Evil 2 Figures, Complete Set - Another sealed complete set. This time, 7 packs containing 12 figures. Very cool stuff from my favorite in the series.

Metal Gear Solid Snake & Meryl Figures - Fairly common, but the price is decent. The box is still factory sealed.

Super Mario RPG Vinyl Banner - Vinyl banners sometimes be made in a cheap run which leaves them open to easy damage. If you make the winning bid, try not to roll and unroll the banner too often.

Mario Kart 64 Vinyl Banner - Another banner that is taking bids. This one comes with the shipping box and hanging instructions.

Good morning VGA readers. It’s getting quite cold where I live so most of my leisure time is spent on the internet looking for auctions or playing video games of course. Gears of War 3 has the new map pack downloaded via xbox marketplace. Are the maps good? Not bad… I would have liked to see more of the original maps being reintroduced like Escalation or Roof Tops. But still can’t complain new multiplayer maps are always good.

The first auction is for a rare and complete 1970 Japanese Nintendo game titled “Challenge Ball”. “The game is in excellent, unused condition. Long before Nintendo developed video games, the company’s focus was playing cards. Many years later, it expanded into toys and such. This particular game is one of the earliest Nintendo games made”. Very unique auction with 3 days left and no reserve. There is more info on the auction so check it out. Thanks **Mato!

The second auction is for the Resident Evil Raccoon City Police Department from 1999. It was made by Phantom Tokyo and  purchased at Capcom’s booth at the 1999 Tokyo Game Show. The detailing on this is absolutely incredible. I have seen this in person several times. It’s a nice jacket and high in quality. For the price I think it’s a fair deal.

- Final Fantasy XIII Autographed Signed Art Cards – This listing is for an ultra rare set of exclusive art prints signed by producer Yoshinori Kitase and Art Director Isamu Kamikokuryo at the official Square-Enix HMV launch at Oxford Street in London.

- Final Fantasy XII Autographed Bundle – Same as above but different auction.

- SNES Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals Complete – Game comes complete with map, box and booklet. No reserve and it’s starting low.

- Biohazard Stamp Collection 2006 – Released in the Japan Post offices in 2006 as a limited run, were sold out immediately. Why don’t they release stamps like that here in N.A? Auction is at $250.

- Dragon Quest Smile Slime Mimic Plush Doll 2004 – This was part a prize in the arcade machines in Japan. I don’t know which game but that is how you won it. Looks to be in great shape, but no tag.

- Donkey Kong Country Official Poster – A very nice official Donkey Kong Poster for the SNES. Looks to be in mint condition. I don’t see this often and it’s at $224 or best offer.

Today’s post has video game auctions to satisfy everyone. We have things from old school to new age. The first auction I want to showcase is the Atari Jaguar Chocolate CD! An incredibly rare item, the seller says that “almost all of them were eaten or destroyed since its release in 1995″. These chocolate CD’s were given out to Atari employees to celebrate the release of the Jaguar CD Player. It’s strange when you think about it. Why would someone hold onto this and never eat it? I guess it’s just part of the collectors DNA that when something shows up that’s only made for a partciular event (whether it’s food, wine bottle or anything else of that sort), it’s held onto and never consumed. Thankfully there are plenty of collectors out there who will hold onto items like these in which it will always be passed from one collector to another. The seller also has a bunch of other rare Atari Jaguar stuff so check it out!

There’s a nice variety of collectibles here today from very different gaming eras and platforms. One item stands out from the rest because it’s a promo of such quality that it raises an eyebrow when you see what game it’s promoting! Check it out…

Capcom Plasma Sword Letter Opener - Plasma Sword was a quiet release in the U.S. and not that big in Japan. It was actually a sequel to Star Gladiator (which is why it’s called Star Gladiator 2 in Japan) but the graphics were pretty sad for a Dreamcast release. Knowing how very average this game is, it’s an amazing surprise to see this top quality promo. Leave it “Capcom” side up on display is my advice… unless you really like Plasma Sword of course.

Suikoden IV Promo Coin - 100 Potch coin up for $15. Not a bad deal really.

Pac-Man Pillow - This pillow appears to be in great shape, the color hasn’t faded, and no creepy stains! lol. Honestly though, it’s a nice bit of gaming merchandise from 30 years ago. I suggest making an offer of $25, then move to $34 if turned down. After that, it’s your call because over $30 is pretty high.

Gears of War 3 Gamestop Prize Watch - The seller mentions that 25 of these were given out as prizes from Gamestop. While limited collectibles are always in the spotlight, something from a game distributor rather than a developer is drastically lower in value. Even so, there aren’t that many out there.

Nintendo Tech Support Hat - I’m sure many Nintendo collections out there are missing this interesting item.

Pac-Man 1982 Sealed Figures - Wow, no bids yet. Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man figures both still sealed in their blister packs. It’s a nice grab for the classic gamers out there.

Nintendo Wii Sports Jacket - The tag shows the size as medium. The starting bid is very nice too.

Metal Gear Solid Postcards - I almost didn’t list this auction because the price is just way too high and there’s no option to make an offer. I suggest contacting the seller direct if you want to change their mind.

Diablo T-Shirt - With the nearing release of Diablo III, this promo t-shirt from the first game really holds some value and yet… it hasn’t sold yet.

Here’s an update on the recent Halo auctions for Child’s Play Charity… By the auctions closing, they managed to total up to $6203.10!! Not bad at all, right? Congratulations to everyone who donated the items and to those who bid. I’m sure the winners of the items are very pleased.

There’s a nice line up of auctions here but we’re going to open with three submitted by Roland who has submitted auctions here on VGA before.

Steel Battalion Cockpit - This is one impressive piece of gaming control. The TV and stool are included so you really do get what you see.

Xbox Promos - A nice variety of Xbox promos here. These items are normally sold in pairs or on their own on eBay, so it’s nice to see so many in one bundle.

Densha De Go PS1 Controller - Densha De Go is a train simulation series from Japan. This controller gives you optimal control for the game.

Game Boy Game Showcase - Back in the days of the original Gameboy, this display case would be amazing to both carry and show off your game collection. This one is still in it’s original packaging.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Watch - The seller explains that the watch being sold is #131 of 400 even though the pictures show #409 of 500. Is the “400″ a typo? I’m not aware of a limited 400 MGS4 watch but maybe Riku can shed more light on the issue. He is the VGA expert when it comes to Metal Gear collectibles…

Konami Gakken Super Cobra - There’s an auction currently on eBay for one of these priced over $1000 (I feel bad for anyone who blindly goes for it). This auction is actually still a little high, but it’s a great item in terms of early Konami games.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Extreme Box - This four disc set also includes a Snake Kubrick figure! It’s an amazing looking case as well.

Pac-Man Trash Can - The price is high, but it’s in great condition. Perfect for any game room.

Donkey Kong & Dig Dug Promo Balloons - The pictures in the auction show the balloons only slightly blown up to show the images printed. The seller explains these were given out at CES in the early 80′s.

There are a few limited themed systems here today each from a different point in gaming history. The prices are all over the place so please be careful and make an offer where possible before jumping on the buy. Out of all of these auctions, there is one I want for myself way more than than the rest. I’ve listed it before in the past but they are still out there…

Tron Legacy Limited Clu Xbox 360 Controller - Only 250 in the world. The price is high but they are taking offers.

Sega Swiss Army Watch - I always second guess the authenticity of the face of a clock or watch. It’s very easy to open it up and put in a new face (which is done on eBay all the time), but this looks like the read deal. Not too flashy and it shows you’re a gamer.

NCAA Football 12 Xbox 360 Limited 22 - This Xbox 360 was a limited run of 22. Sports games rarely call for high value unless signed, but this package really steps up with pure rarity.

Donkey Kong Country Scooter - I’ve honestly never seen this before. There’s some damage on the back edge of the board but the starting bid is a good fit.

Skyrim Plush Helmet - This helmet which offers the least amount of head protection imaginable (lol) is getting a lot of attention. 17 bids so far but less than 24 hours left.

Ico / Wander and the Colossus Limited Box - Take a look at this. Not only is this a beautiful box for the HD remakes of Ico and Wander and the Colossus (Shadow of the Colossus), but there’s a subtle bonus. The two games have their own boxes rather than being on one disc.

Panzer Dragoon Orta Limited Xbox - This limited Xbox really catches the eye with it’s white finish. It’s priced very high because not only is this rare, but the original shipping box is included. Several offers have already been made.

Diablo III Beach Towel - Not really a “keep sealed” item unless you have a Blizzard collection going. Unfortunately if you plan to use the towel, the price doesn’t match. I suggest contacting the seller to try for a lower price.

Coca-Cola Sega Game Gear - Not only do you get this rare Coca-Cola Game Gear, but the matching game is included. These combos are often separated in time which can be disappointing.
