Donkey Kong – Past, Present, and Future

Almost as old as Mario himself, Donkey Kong is a hugely popular Nintendo character. From the arcade classic to the Donkey Kong Country series and everything afterwards; Mario Party series, Mario Kart series, Super Smash Bros series and the list goes on. As long as Nintendo is around, you can be sure Donkey Kong will be too.

Vintage 20″ Donkey Kong Plush – As the tag indicates, this plush is not only official, but from 1982! This dates it only one year after the release of Donkey Kong in the arcades. The plush is famous for it’s accidentally obscene hands (when you put them together lol).

Donkey Kong LP Audio Story Book – I would love to hear this play. What could they possibly write into a story using the simple game of Donkey Kong!? If anyone has listened to this, please comment! This copy of the “adventure story” is still factory sealed.

Nintendo 64 Console Limited Jungle Green Donkey Kong Edition – I remember seeing this in the stores at the time of it’s release and was annoyed with the fact that I already had an N64. This version would have been great to have. Plus, Donkey Kong 64 is a great game.

Donkey Kong Country Returns Display Box – The next game in the Donkey Kong series! It’s due out next month and looks like it’s going to be a blast. I’m getting it no question. This box up on eBay (no game inside) is the kind of thing you would see on the shelves of rental stores as a “coming soon” teaser. It’s an official box with the words “Promotional display only” printed on the bottom right. Pretty cool item.
