Animation cels can often be a surprisingly cheap collectible, considering how unique each is and how they were used. The reason of course is that there are so many cels made for each frame per second. If you were a fan of any of the shows listed below, you may want to spend a few bucks to own a piece of that show you remember. The value of an animation cel depends on the importance of the character or the moment shown and of course the quality. There’s also something to be said about cels which show multiple characters.

Every one of the auctions below are currently set at less than $50 (most are $10 or less). Very easy buys.

Super Mario Bros Super Show Cel

Good morning VGA readers. I just saw a Nintendo World Championship Grey Cart and it’s currently going for $5000+.  I wonder how it it’s going to go. I thought the demand was dropping and prices would be under $5k but I was wrong. Also the kami plush submitted by Dragoony went for $900+, that’s insane. The auction ended but they usually end around the $500 mark if it shows up on eBay. Lastly if you’re a Zelda fan you might be interested in getting the Goddess of Wisdom cart. It’s fan made but of course the closest thing we have to another Link to the Past. It’s at $150 and climbing… might place a bid. Keep in mind it’s unofficial, just fan made.

Today’s auctions are all Mega Man items! The Mega Man series is my favorite series on the NES and I often think about starting a Mega Man dedicated collection. It doesn’t look like Mega Man has much of an 8-bit future with all the changes at Capcom but one of the very cool things about these games is the replay value. Unfortunately I’m still missing two games from the original six in my NES collection… pretty sad, right? The only reason for that is the crazy prices people tend to charge for them; even at flea markets! Once I get them all… hmm… I wonder if I can finish them back to back one night…

R20 Mega Man Art Book - This fantastic book of over 300 pages is full of art from both the original Mega Man series and the Mega Man X series. The price is good but shipping is a third of the cost.

Mega Man E-Tank Mug - Here’s a crazy price for a crazy collectible I wish I had. I think I’ll get myself one of these before I attempt a Mega Man marathon and get some energy drinks at the ready.

Mega Man Foil Poster by Todd Slater - One of 100 foil posters signed and numbered. You can find more of Todd Slater’s awesome stuff at ToddSlater.net.

E-Tank Plush - Ever watch someone play Mega Man, keeping an eye on their health for them so that you can remind them to use an E-tank by yelling, “E!!!”. Well, get one of these and you can simply throw it at their head to warn them.

10″ Mega Man Figure - Think about the size of this figure. You don’t often see action figures this big. And what does it say there on the box? Real shooting weapon!? No way! lol

Mega Man Mega Buster Plush Glove - These are still available outside of eBay but this price isn’t bad.

Protoman Proto Buster Plush Glove - If you buy both busters, you and a friend can wear them and run around like morons! lol… hmm… sounds like fun.

Rockman Arrange Version Soundtrack - Here’s an interesting Mega Man soundtrack. Only 5 tracks but they are pretty good. Not the typical remixes you often hear. Check out the first track to see what I mean…

Some readers may be well aware of the top quality Resident Evil 5 watch that was released in a limited production of 555 world wide. I’ve seen one of these watches in person and I have to say that auction pictures do not do it justice. But, how many people can say that they have seen one of the Artist Proof Edition watches? The artist proof edition was a short run of 15 watches while the design was still being worked on. Number 01 in this series of 15 is now available on eBay.

The price is very acceptable for an item this rare. If you have been thinking of getting one of the 555 series watches, maybe this watch will finally make you decide to throw some cash down lol. It’s an amazing piece of work for sure.

Because of the size, this needs to be picked up in a pickup truck. How the hell is this still up? I’d buy it in a heart beat if the seller lived closer to me!
Super Mario Bros Pepsi Bottles Cap Figure 30 set Japan Game Nintendo toy Promo - these are one of the coolest packages I’ve seen coming from Japan. These “bottle” caps are made to look 8-bit, how cool is that?
Metal Gear Solid VR Missions Konami Promo Poster – USA ~ PS1 / PlayStation – nice poster of grey fox for the VR missions. Great game, but not sure how many fans of the original game will jump on this poster. The artwork is still neat despite this game taking a different approach than the traditional story mode game (the game was filled with mini missions to complete).
Promo Playstation 1 PS1 Tomba Store Display Sign Counter Standee – This auction is for the pictured Tomba store promotional display counter standee. It measures 14″ x 10″. It has never been used, but does have the pictured scuff on the back. You won’t see it if you’re displaying it
1:1 Custom Figure Resin Movie Prop Sideshow Bust SILENT HILL NURSE Statue 22″ – Although this is custom made, this is one of the cooler items on eBay now. If I was a bigger Silent hill fan I would jump on this.

Good morning VGA readers! Today’s post has a bunch of Zelda goodies like Zelda’s Adventure for the CD-I. It’s at a penny! You cannot go wrong there. The Zelda Skull Kid statue isn’t a surprise having a bid at $300. It always seems to have someone bid on it. For the past 2 years that I’ve kept an eye on these the price has always been the same and when it sells for $150 thats a steal. The black Ops Flag signed by the Treyarch staff is pretty cool since Black Ops 2 is coming out later in the year(which I can’t wait for). It’s at around $40, I might go ahead and go for it! I just noticed now that eBay is offering a “Warranty” option on their hardware auctions. Seems eBay wants to do it all and although this is proper given the fact that people can be screwed out of something they bought a month ago on eBay. I am just thinking of the headaches that those sellers have to put up with now because of this new option. I wonder how it works as I didn’t do any readings on it yet but is the seller is liable if something doesn’t work after a month or does paypal cover it with insurance? It’s interesting but in the end the most important thing is that the buyer is protected.

Anyways, moving I just wanted to say that I am not too big into custom things such as statues or props from video games, but sometimes it’s cool to see what gamers can come up with. Especially when the gamer is a good artist it stirs quite a pool of interested buyers. Speaking of custom statues, this Resident Evil Custom William Birkin Statue  isn’t exactly what you’d expect, it’s still VERY cool that someone made a statue of his William Birkins ”last form”. For those who don’t understasnd what I am talking about, basically in Resident Evil 2 a mad scientist named William Birkin injects himself with the G-Virus in which he transforms into a monster. Throughout the game his form changes into different “types”, which statue being “Type-4″ which is the last form you see him in. I will always remember this form because of how it was presented to the gamer. *Spoil Alert!*, in the end of Resident Evil 2, you are trapped in a train where you meet dead on with William’s Type-4 form. He’s so big that he practically takes up the whole screen/train. So as you are shooting at him you are truely amazed of how big this monster is. For all these years I never understood why such a signature form was never created into a statue. I suppose that the statue would be so huge it would make it impossible to ship, but then why not create something highly limited like for example limited to 50? I am almost certain 50 buyers would jump on this statue priced at $500. But, instead we will never see a statue dedicated to Williams Last form thus we have to settle with custom made ones which isn’t a bad thing. I can see the seller basically took the Toy Biz Tyrant and added a bunch of tenticles to it. It looks disgusting and by looking at the tray underneth the statue, it looks like it was taken out of the oven just to heat up the clay (or whatever it is made out of). An ugly looking piece, but perfect for Resident Evil fans .

GHOSTS ‘N GOBLINS – NINTENDO NES – BRAND NEW - I’m a little surprised that this jumped $800 since yesterday! IT’s over $1000 now and I’d figure that sealed game collectors are picky with their selection since there’s a small tear/sticker mark at the top right of the game but I guess I am wrong.
Nintendo DS IS-Nitro-Emulator Development Kit - Seller says: “Up for sale is one IS-Nitro-Emulator with the DS Lite controller. This is NOT a normal DS, and will NOT play retail games. Supplied is the system, controller, and power supply. You will need a PC and software for Windows to successfully use this unit. It is USED, so it has scratches and wear and tear from actual development, but I have loaded the demo program on it with no issues.”

Ebay seller VintageVideoGameVendor has been around since late 2009 but oddly only has 216 feedback to date. If you take a look through the very hard to find promo items they have up right now, you will likely wonder how all of these items fell into the inventory of a single seller considering the age of the content. There’s probably a vendor link involved here from the 80′s but I haven’t contacted the seller myself yet. Nintendo Merchandising Brochure - Turn on the power! lol… Wow, this is an interesting look at the store displays that got many gamers into the world of Nintendo. It’s a binder insert without extras, but still very cool. It’s in great shape but the price is high.
