Flintstones Surprise at Dinosaur Peak, Sonic Coin, MGS Food and More!

The first auction is for The Flintstones: Surprise at Dinosaur Peak NES game. This game was released as a sequel to the original Flintstones released previously on the NES. This game is notoriously rare and near impossible to find among many NES game collectors. It is considered a highly collectible title.

If anyone has played Flintstones: Rescue of Dino and Hoppy, It was filled with fun and you always have a blast playing the game. Same with Surprise at Dinosaur Peak, although I remember the gameplay being a little more difficult.

I don’t own this game, but if I seriously started to collect NES games I know this would be one of the hardest titles to find, and it’s up on eBay right. Complete with box and instructions makes this version quite desirable. Looks like the bidding war has already started…

Metal Gear Solid 4 Food

For those who never played MGS:4, they did something different for the game in which Konami featured a Snack Bar and Energy drink company in the game. I’m guessing there was a lot of money put on the table for this sort of advertising(which definitely worked!).

The Energy Bar CALORIE MATE and REGAIN Energy Drink were both featured in the game. If my mind serves me right, you were able to use them at any moment in the game after picking it up. But I remember these drinks and bars being used in the cut-scene every so often.

On top of this all, REGAIN had special limited edition MGS cell-phone straps as part of their marketing campaign which a complete set sells for $100-$150 on eBay. But these auctions are just for the bars and drink. Seller says: ” Product appears in the video game: METAL GEAR SOLID. It is a popular Japanese energy bar loaded with vitamins and minerals intended for those people ‘on-the-go’ who need a quick nutritional lift. Available in 4 flavors!”
