Good morning VGA readers. Today’s post is a little special as there are some really nice goodies for you collectors out there like a signed Earthbound game(famicom). But I will begin by discussing the benefits of computer/gaming glasses. I recently had serious symptoms of what could be related to excessive computer use. Let me explain…

For about 4 weeks I had a massive headache, equilibrium issues(balance), and huge pain behind my eyes which made me fatigue and only want to lay down and not do anything. I am very much receptive to pain but this was something new I never felt, it was extremely painful from morning to night, even when I closed my eyes, even if I got good sleep. So researching on google for medical issues is like shooting yourself in the foot, you can find so much stuff that isn’t related. I went to several doctors and they couldn’t find anything. Then I realized after doing some research that being on a computer for 10+ hrs a day can definitely do some damage. That added with stress is what happened. So now I actually plan my time around a computer. But now I found a solution to my problem, and everyone elses problem.

If you wake up in the morning with a massive headache and eye pain after a long day of gaming or computer use, well think about getting computer glasses. -Extremely RARE Mother 1+2 Set Signed by Shigesato Itoi – The Creator of EarthBound signed this famicom game in 2003. This auction was recently on YAJ(hehe yes I see everything my friends), and I won’t say how much the seller actually won it for because I don’t think it’s fair to do that, but it is clearly for reselling purposes which is fine. I use to think it’s an evil thing but that’s how business works. A lucky fan will win this for his/her awesome collection. It’s the real deal so don’t miss out on a gem.

- Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition (Xbox 360) -  There are apparently 1000 copies for the PS made of this. It is pretty rare indeed and easily sells over $800, in fact some copies have sold for $1500+. This one is mint and unopened.

- Final Fantasy III (JP) signed by Nobuo Uematsu - All proceeds go to charity. From closer observations and comparisons I can say this is a legit Uematsu signature. The seller does have some references but compare them yourself and you can see it is legit. Low starting bid I might even give this one a shot.

- Call of Duty Black Ops Signed Poster - I don’t know if this is a print or an original hand signing. The seller says he/she interviewed a programmer and received this poster. It would be logical to say it’s signed because what programmer would give a printed signed poster? It’s like having an interview with the president and receiving a letter with his signature but printed… doesn’t make sense but you never know, better to ask the seller.

- Castlevania Koji Igarashi Autographed Dracula X – A REALLY nice signed Koji Igarashi paper. It’s on a Dracula X fact sheet, something that will have value over time. The auction is very low.

- Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Limited Edition Collection – Submitted by VGA friend Casey (Thanks!), this collector’s edition includes:

• The Collectors Edition game for PS3 (sealed)
• Marvel Vs Capcom 3 poster (slightly damaged from carrying around)*

- Videopac G7000 Boxed + 27 Games + Game Case – Submitted by VGA friend Hendrik (Thanks!), this is the Magnavox Odyssey² but in Europe it was called the Videopac G7000 and it’s boxed and in great shape and comes with 27 games. A console collector should not miss this!

Good afternoon VGA readers. I’ve got some unique auctions for you today which includes some classic titles and cool limited edition merchandise. I usually don’t like posting custom video game items but this Marle Plush from Chrono Cross is just so well done it probably is better then what Squaresoft would have had done in 1999. Let’s start:

First auction is for a Harle Plush from Chrono Cross. This plush was not made by the seller, rather it was purchased by her/him online from an artist ten years ago. Harle measures 9.5 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide. The plush has remained in bubble wrap and stored safely in the sellers closest untouched. As the seller states, “This cute little harlequin/dark moon dragon can be yours now, as I’ve lost interest in videos games. My loss is your gain”. It’s currently at $100 with zero bids.

- Robot Rubble for Intellivision -A rare title indeed, Robot Rubble almost never shows up brand new, however that is not what raises my eye brow. When I read the description the seller says, “This is the only such game in my husband’s collection“… huh? What does that even mean? Wouldn’t he post this? Did she get this as part of her divorce settlement? Is this revenge for sneaking over to the neighbors house in the middle of the night? Why wouldn’t he part with something so valuable in his collection himself unless he is too ashamed to face reality? We will never know…

- FALLOUT 3 PS3 Survival Edition -The seller is right, this is the only one on eBay right now, but what he isn’t right about is gauging the price range to Amazon.com. He says, “So this is the only one on eBay right now and the only one that I’ve seen for less than $8000.00 (look it up on Amazon.com)“. I wanted to buy Castlevania mint on the NES and I saw a few for $30 on eBay complete. Then I took a look at Amazon(I don’t know why) and some seller had a listing, “The rarest NES game ever Castlevania!” and he had it at $400 bucks…

- Call of Duty Black Ops Launch Kit Xbox 360 – A rare launch kit released for Black Ops. Comes with t-shirts, a lanyard and more. It’s at $300.

- Huge Nintendo Lot 155 Games -All the games have been tested and work. It will be annoying to ship I can imagine. From the description it doesn’t look like any come with a box or booklet. Keep in mind a lot of these are doubles and even tripples.

- Earthbound SNES Boxed Complete – Earthbound always amazes me because of the fan following and the demand for all it’s items and collectibles. It’s pretty much a gold mind if you find a rare Earthbound related item. This is complete with the scratch N’ sniff.

- Call of Duty Strategy Guides Signed -Seller has a bunch of COD guides for sale, and all signed by one of the authors of the multiplayer sections. I don’t know what that means so you need to ask the seller but COD MW was fully focused for multiplayer game play which was awesome.

- World of Nintendo Fiber Optic Sign – I think this is one of the Nintendo Signs that collector’s want the most, but it’s always expensive. Really nice in the dark. This one is at $700.

- Aqua Blue Nintendo 3DS Signed – Autographed Aqua Blue Nintendo 3DS System. It is covered in a plastic sealant that is easy to remove and replace to preserve the signatures. To find out more about the autographs check out the auction..

- Super Mario Bros 2 Sign – Looks beat up from the pictures. My impression is that this was originally acquired and hanged several times from one room to another. When Dad got upset with all the noise he aggressively took down all posters and punished the children by closing down the game room, then after the storm put it back up with a new pin hole. Well that very pinhole has diminished the value of this priceless artifact.

- Huge 60″ Final Fantasy VIII Cardboard Store Stand – Great Stand up. I remember seeing this everywhere. It was actually really big too like the description states, “Huge”. This would looks cool in any game room. Has some wear but overall good shape.

- Chrono Cross Card game Complete Set 60 Bandai -The price is fair as I don’t see this ever dropping due to the lack of appearance on eBay. It even has the full 6 special card set(prism).

Good morning VGA readers. Today I’ve got some pretty cool auctions to display including vintage battery hand helds, the ones that were a big deal when I was in elementary school. There’s also an odd Gears of War 3 Canvas prize awarded to contestants of a contest and only 10 were made. So lets begin:

First auction is for a Gears of War 3 Painted Canvas. As the seller puts it, “For sale is an item I won in a Gamestop sweepstakes. It is a gears of war signed art piece that is 30×20 inches. I do not know much  about it, but i do know they only gave out 10 of the prize and  I was  one of them. The painting is valued at $250 according to the rules of  the the “Go Commando” sweepstakes. It is on a canvas and is an actual  painting. This is NOT a print and it is signed by the author, although I do not know who the author is. I do not know much about art or about  the painting.If you have any questions then please feel free to message me. ”

Other Video Game Auctions:

- New – Mass Effect – Signed / Autographed by Entire Bioware - “This is a copy of the standard edition first print of Mass Effect for Xbox 360. Game has never been played but was opened and signed by the Bioware dev team in 2007 during its release. Signatures guarnteed authentic and cover both the front and disk of the game. I’ll try and get an actual pic up in thenext couple of days. Camera has been acting up.”

- Super Mario Yoshi Sign 90s - It’s definitely a nice store display, but it is selling for a high price. I wouldn’t see myself buying this for more then $200 on a good day but it usually sells for around $350+.

- PC – RARE GAMES Collection 12 boxed games – A nice lot of good titles, but again just too much. My advice would be to sell them individually. Goblins 1 and 2 are fun to play. Each game can get between $30-$50.

- Ninja Gaiden Hand Held Tiger New – Classic title, played it a few times on the hand held. It’s typical play, just move the character and slice at the bad guys. Its more of a collectible then to actually play it. Impressive he/she has it sealed.

-MSX game METAL GEAR & METAL GEAR2 SOLID SNAKE – Released in 1987 and distributed up to 1990 its a rare Japanese title and one that most Metal Gear fans want. It comes complete.

- Karnov Hand Held Tiger New – Same as above, impressed it’s still new. Also never knew they made a Karnov title for the hand held.

- Gauntlet Hand Held Tiger New – Same as above.

- SNES 7 Rare Game Lot – Good titles. You have Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy III, Super Mario RPG and more. The lot is starting at a reasonable price, but doesn’t include boxes or manuals.

- Darkseed II New PC – Classic pc game made by H.G Giger. Has a lot of Alien the movie influence in this game and in the art. Very unique.

- Final Fantasy VII 7 Collection, Books, Promo, Soundtrack, Poster - This seller has been selling this lot for some time now. The bus ad itself is worth $500 alone.

- Final Fantasy VII  original black label – A Final Fantasy VII sealed is still a nice piece to have in your collection if you’re a fan, however buying one that is mint is not only hard but quite expensive. The price ranges varies according to the condition. In this case it’s the batch with the drill hole in the top left. Also it’s the shrink wrap version, not y-fold which means it is more likely to have cuts, holes and tears.

Good morning VGA readers. It’s a cold day but all the reason to play games and watch movies. Scrolling through the Xbox market place there are plenty of titles to choose from, I’m eying a few for tonight . With the Christmas season escaping us, and the new year right around the corner it leaves us with interesting video game auctions on eBay simply because it’s a weird time to list anything. Sure you’ll have cool auctions but personally I don’t even feel like taking out the trash. The beauty of eBay is that we’re always left with surprises of cool auctions like the recent Final Fantasy VII Aeris Music Box (which for sure didn’t sell and the seller kept it, I just want to stress on that) which was listed before Christmas. First of all that is the worst time to capitalize on potential profits, it’s a hard time to make sales in any industry. The optimal times to sell something like that would be March to May or August to November. Anyone reading this with an Aeris Music Box (I know it’s Aerith but in Japan it was Aeris and it reads Aeris on the Music Box), list it in that month frame OR you can email me personally and ask if I am interest

Video Game Auctions:

- Replica Nintendo NES Controller Coffee Table - A really cool coffee table to have in your room. I would love to have this by the fireplace. Shipping would burn my wallet though so it’s too bad it’s not close to me.

- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Hyperstone Signed – Signed by the co-creator Kevin Eastman. He drew a sketch of a Ninja Turtle on the cover.

- Halo 3 Limited Edition Signed Mylar Print “Ark Storm” Isaac Hannaford - This is number 98/500. I’m a big Halo fan and it will be consider a top Shooter forever, although I don’t know if it beats Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, it sure has a gameplay that many gamers can agree is exciting.

- ELDER SCROLLS V: SKYRIM CD SOUNDTRACK 4 DISC - It’s signed by the composer Jeremey Soule. What’s interesting is that Jeremy Soule and his brother composed the tracks for Secret of Evermore which you can listen to here.  Pretty cool to have his autograph if you’re a fan of Squaresoft music.

- 7ft Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Dovahkiin Statue – This is #250 out of 400 made world wide. I’m not a big Skyrim fan because I love shooters but this is amazing from what I hear. A lot of Skyrim fans out there that would love this in their room.

- Chrono Trigger Final Fantasy 3 and more RARE VIDPRO cards – These were being sold at one point for around $15-$30 each and sometimes would go higher depending on when it was listed. He must have paid a good $300 in total for these, but he is asking for a much higher price.

- 3 VGA Nes Sealed Games – These are 3 odd titles to have sealed and in your collection.

- Playstation Ps1 Game Lot – You have a ton of great titles in here like Suikoden II, Dragon Warrior VII, Castlevania Symphony of the Night etc… For $300 beans it might not be bad at all.

- Biohazard Stamp Collection 2006 - It’s being sold at $250 which is an alright price considering that it doesn’t show up and I’ve seen it being sold for more than $250.

- RARE NES NINTENDO PRE-RELEASE 1.0 ADVANCE COPY DAVID CRANES A BOY & HIS BLOB 89 – This is interesting as it’s not a proto-type but a pre-release which I haven’t seen before.

For me that’s peace of mind, being able to just relax and play games when I want. Of course going outside for a walk by the water is a bonus but it’s winter here so can’t really do that. - Autographed Sony PlayStation 3 Signed by G4 & the Biggest Names in Videogames - This brand new, one of a kind Sony Playstation 3, is autographed by the biggest names in the videogame industry. 100% of the proceeds of this auction go the Penny Arcade charity “Child’s Play.” Child’s Play seeks to improve the lives of children in hospitals around the world through the kindness and generosity of the video game industry and the power of play. - Lucasfilm LucasArts Loom Limited Edition Soundtrack Signed – Signed by Brian Moriarty, you won’t find a classic PC game signed by the creator of the game.

- Nes Original Nintendo Entertainment System Sign Plate - This is a really nice original Nintendo Plated Sign. These are usually huge but this specific one is made small. Not a bad piece to have in the game room.

- StarFox Competition Cart - It’s currently at $350 with no bids but I am going to place a bet that someone will eventaully bid. Although it is Christmas time it might play a role in it’s 0 bid value.

- Mike Tyson NES Punch Out Trophy Figure - Really nice collectible to have. I enjoy seeing these trophys as they capture a true part of gaming histroy in figure form. Punch Out is a classic title that will always be remembered and it’s so cool how they made figures back in the day.

- Panzer Dragoon Saga Sealed - This is rated an 85 from Video Game Authority. It has a few rips in the plastic but overall a great conditioned sealed game.

 

Good afternoon VGA readers. I’ve been watching the Clan of the Gray Wolf Marathon all weekend and have been loving it. The CDi is really an awesome console and need to pick one up. If you haven’t donated yet please go and donate what you can. It’s going to Cancer Foundation, a charity well worth the donation. Together we can combat cancer and make a monumental change in human history. I don’t think I need to explain more and it’s self-explanatory. The marathon ends tonight at 11:59 Eastern Time.

First auction is for a Final Fantasy VII Zippo set. The set was sold individually in Japan and through catalog, however getting an entire set was almost impossible since at the time. Here you have the complete set of 10 zippos sealed and mint. The price so far is very reasonable at $750, you cannot argue that, however I think it will go past $1000. I might even give it a shot. I’m still upset that the seller sold the FF VII Music Box off eBay. Sure I probably would have asked to buy it off eBay too but I’m surprised the seller did as you would expect to try and get the most for your collectible. Either way we’ll have to wait another 2-4 years before one surfaces again.

- Super NINTENDO Jacket - This is a size medium for men and a large for women. It’s from 1995 and if I remember correctly does have matching pants, but I don’t think this auction has the pants.

- Entire Final Fantasy Collection Complete - Wow this is the complete Final Fantasy game collection with every Final Fantasy game ever made. For $700 you really can’t complain. It would cost you twice as much to collect them all.

- Final Fantasy X Yuna Wedding Dress Cold Cast - A nice deal however there is a hair piece missing which really hurts the value and desire of this piece. There is one currently on eBay now that’s brand new and intact but it’s double the price.

- Final Fantasy VII 7 Forgotten City Cloud – A nice cold cast from the Final Fantasy collection. It’s extremely delicate and the tree branches are intact. A little high on the price…

- Final Fantasy 1 Original ’87 Promo - The very first Final Fantasy poster for the NES or in Japan the Famicom. It has Amano’s art work as the illustration. Pretty cool poster if you ask me.

- Nintendo light sign lot of 3 displays – The cool thing about this auction is you have 3 different displays for that price. All of them are decent too. I don’t know how much shipping would cost though.

- Call of Duty 4 Game of the year cover SIGNED by Infinity Ward - As a COD fan this would be really cool to get and at first I thought the autographs were printed but in fact they are original from the infinity ward staff.

 - 1992 Nintendo Authorized Repair Facility Metal Sign - This is an original Authorized Nintendo Repair sign used in store as legitamacy of NES repair.

 

- RARE Nintendo 64 lighted SIGN - A real cool n64 display sign for retail use. It’s very big and according to the seller lights up!

 

- We Have Nintendo Sign – Another cool Nintendo Sign but this time it stresses that “We Have Nintendo”.

 

- Nintendo NES FLINTSTONES SURPRISE AT DINOSAUR PEAK - This auction is over $1000 already but it’s complete and you do not see complete SFDP often.

 

- Uncharted 2 Fortune Hunter Edition - A nice Uncharted 3 Fortune Hunter Edition that is new and unused. It has all the goodies inside, but does have a reserve price which always sucks.

 

- Japanese Xbox 360 NTSC-J Console System RARE Blue Dragon - A beautiful Blue Dragon Xbox Console. It’s brand new and the art is just so sharp and crisp. I don’t know exactly how many were made but it is very rare indeed.

 

- NINTENDO FAMICOM NES GOLD PUNCH OUT - The software which the player that players more than 140,000 participated in the second Family Computer golf tournament held in Japan in 1987 using disk software “golf US course” for meetings aimed at was a punch out of the boxing game of the gold cassette. The cassette of the gold plating which shined in the gold of the prize was given high-ranking prizewinner and 10,000 people elected by a lottery in total.

 

Good morning VGA readers. I’ve got some really interesting items for you whether you’re into the good old Atari stuff or Super Mario you’ll like the items up for auction today. I have to make note on the Super Mario 3 autographed NES. This is really one of a kind and the odd thing is that Eiji Aonuma and Yoshiaki Koizumi did not work on Super Mario 3, but Eiji has worked on the Zelda series and Yoshiaki has worked on Mario Galaxy so does this signing make sense? Not according to the development of the game but in terms of top Nintendo developers it sort of does since these guys are the top dogs at Nintendo so I guess it’s cool that they sign Super Mario 3.

- Geno from Super Mario RPG statue - According to the seller this is part of a limited run. There are only 150 of these in the world. It is Geno the Star Doll from Super Mario RPG. The arms move, the cape is real, and the wind-up key winds. 

- Super Mario NES Sign NEW - This is one of those signature signs that I want in my game room, although this is brand new so how could I ever take it out and put it on display if I can preserve it? Hard question for every collector but I think it would come down to if “two” were available then I could preserve one but if I won this I’d have to display it or the purpose would be defeated.

Good morning VGA readers. I’ve got a lot of cool auctions for your viewing so sit down, relax, sip on that coffee or tea and enjoy the auctions below. I’d like to talk about owning a collection, and as many of you readers know Rome wasn’t built in a day so anyone looking to build on their collection or even start knows it takes dedication, time, energy and everything else into building something you cherish later on. I can finally stand in the shadows of my room and look at my empire of a collection beaming with spot lights, and appreciate the years it took to build this. The good feelings I get just from stepping into my room and seeing items that are sought after, desired, and limited on a global basis. It’s healthy for the soul and I’m sure a study can conclude it lowers blood pressure and all the good things that come with it. Imagination should be something that never leaves our lives. People focus on goals that deter their imagination. I say have a healthy balance of the two.

First auction is for a Myst Advertising Poster. It’s very rare and limited to 500. It was used as a backdrop for an interview Rand & Robin Miller did for CBS. It’s signed by Marcus Badgley who designed the poster. There is slight water damage at the very bottom of the poster but it does not affect the appeal of the rarity this poster holds. Was it a great game? Not great but for the time it was breakthrough. It really represents a pivotal era in gaming history where latest graphics we’re being introduced and this was definitely a milestone. It reminds me of the good days of PC gaming when the computer was the giant in the realm of Video Games(Yes people argue Pc games are not “Video Games” but if it’s a game and you play it on a screen then it’s a Video Game).

- Minecon Creeper Glow in the Dark Figure – “1 of 500 Un-opened MineCon Exclusive Limited Edition Glow-in-the-Dark Vinyl Creeper Figure. I purchased two of these, one of which I shipped the my home through FedEx and the other was in a checked bag. The one that came with me on the plane was completely crushed, so I only have 1 to sell. The box is a bit damaged and warped from the FedEx ride, but I assure you that the figure inside is 100% undamaged. The box itself is signed by several members of the Mojang Team, including Notch (Markus), Mollstam (Tobias), C418 and Jeb_ (Jens).”

- Call Of Duty: MW3 Autographed Poster (Midnight Release) – As I play this more and more I find how annoying it is they didn’t make Search and Destroy the focus of the game. It has an average point system so less people play it. This was where the meat and potatos were in the very first Modern Warfare. All I’m left with is dreaming how amazing the first one was and how much fun I had with it. P90 for ever!

- Minecon Staff T-Shirt Signed - Something that doesn’t show up everyday. A signed MinCraft shirt by a whole ton of people, do check the auction for the names as I don’t want to repost them here, wouldn’t make sense to flood the screen.

- Halo 3 Launch Wristband - This would technically be a charity auction in the sense the seller is raising funds for his game project so it’s a win-win scenario for we gamers and his project, but the price is a little high for what it is.

- Little Red Hood Complete NES – “HES – Home Entertainment Suppliers were an Australian Company who released Games for the NES back in the 80′s. All the carts were black in colour as opposed to the grey standard Nes cart. There are also 3 main variants of carts that exist being Piggyback, DGL & Standard Flat cart.”

- Metal Gear Solid Risk Board Game Collector’s Edition - Good comes to everyone with Patience. At one point this was selling at $200+ after it was sold out, but all the re-sellers who bought them (wonder how many actual collectors purchased this) realized that eBay is getting flooded and are now forced to sell it at a much less profit margin. Thank god for competition

- Nintendo VIRTUAL BOY collection - It appears to be the entire collection with 33 games, accessories and more. You also have cases and memorabillia.

- Nintendo NES R.O.B NIB Brand New VGA 80 - Wow someone actually sent this to VGA to be graded, pretty nuts and it’s rated “80″ which is nice to see because how many of these are around in excellent shape? Probably not many.

- Virtual Boy Key-Chain Nintendo Promotional Employee Gift - Cute little Virtual Boy Keychain. I’m a fan of keychains and search religiously for cool game keychains. The older the better, especially if they’re from the SNES era.
