The first auctions up for today are going for amazing prices. True, Jumpman (Mario) isn’t included in the cels and you can’t see DK’s face, but still… they’re one of a kind. They are both quick and easy buys and the shipping cost can of course be applied to the two of them shipping together.

Space Invaders: Virtual Collection - One of the rarest Virtual Boy games made. Bids are stacking up already and there are still 5 days left. The reserve hasn’t been met yet however. It could be around $175 or $200.

Resident Evil Code Veronica Limited Dreamcast (#009/200) - VGA has listed this limited Dreamcast before, but if you missed it, check it out. It’s a valuable collectible, but the sellers price is way too high. They are taking offers though.

Biohazard 5th Anniversary Zippo - Another Resident Evil collectible which is priced very high. The price has been reduced a bit for the time being.

Up for sale is a Nintendo Powerplay Saturday Necklace. This item was the grand prize given to the winner of the EB/Gamestop Saturday tournament. Some of you might be asking what is this?

Well, Nintendo Powerplay Saturdays were three events held at various EB and Gamestop retail stores around the U.S. They were held on September, 9th, October 7th and October, 28th 2006 to be exact. These events consisted of tournaments with different Nintendo games such as Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Mario Kart DS.

The tournament prizes consisted of two different t-shirts, and a official Nintendo necklace. The shirts were runner up prizes, one being a green, baseball styled tee, and the other was a regular black t-shirt with the Powerplay Saturdays logo on it(which do not pop up on eBay much). The necklace was cast of a shiny silver metal, made to be thick and heavy. The charm made to be a crown was embellished with diamond like stones, with the words “Nintendo Champion” inscribed on the front. The necklace also included an official Nintendo tin with foam insert to store or display

Now there’s a lot of talk about this item being VERY RARE. Sure some might speculate the rareness of this item, however, the last three times it’s been on eBay it only sold for $30. This was during a “regular” auction with no buy-it-now.

This auction that I am featuring has a CHEAP buy-it-now, so if I were you I’d jump on it. This item can be a valuable collectible in the future….

Yup, that crazy rare monster that pops up to shoot 1,000 or more needles in your face and then run away! Ah, the memories… I guess it’s the shocked face and the running pose that get burned into people’s memory because there are a lot of Cactaur items out there…

What makes video game items from Japan so desirable is the fact that you can only get them from Japan, which heightens the rarity for these commodities. However, in the new age, there are sellers on eBay, and deputy services that aid you in your search for rare video game collectibles. There are more collectors turning to Japanese items to build their collection since some of the coolest video game related items are from there!

I’m pretty sure most of you can agree with me on this topic, but for those who cannot comprehend, let me show you some items specifically from a Japanese eBay seller named sonkirihayameni. Now just a heads up, don’t be surprised if they don’t answer your questions. I’ve never had a response from them when I sent questions, so there is no price negotiation.

1). The Legend of Zelda VHS Promo for Gameboy – Well there’s not too much mentioned in the auctions “description” but I am guessing this is for “Link’s Awakening” since it has the “Gameboy” logo and only that. I would love to see whats on here!

2).Final Fantasy Plush Lot Squaresoft – Nice Final Fantasy 9 plush set which includes an official Square bag!

3).Earthbound Mother 2 Mr Saturn Plush Figure New

4).Legend of Zelda 2 Game Novel Book – I love the art work on this book! Official LOZ 2 Novel book from Japan. Decent price at $26.40!

5).Legend of Zelda Sound Calculator by Banpresto – Haven’t seen one of these on Yahoo Japan for a while. Whats awesome about this calculator is that it makes noise. The best part is when you push the “equal” button it makes the surprise dungeon discovery noise

6).Kingdom Hearts 2 Promo Mini Keychains – Size of each keychain is 1 inches so don’t be fooled by the pic, the display is actually quite small!

7).Final Fantasy 7 Shinra Company Staff Card – I don’t know why Squaresoft at their peak didn’t make these cards. Awesome FF collectible just because of the significance of these cards in the game…

8). Final Fantasy Job Change Figure Complete Set – Nice Final Fantasy character collection from the original game.

9).Sega Sonic 2 Hedgehog Promo VHS Video – Another VHS promo but for Sonic the Hedgehog 2! I really like these types of items from Japan because they hold a lot of mystic behind them. Decent price for $34.50

10).Legend of Mana Rabi Necklace Gold Figure

When I stumbled upon this auction, I was in amazement that the item it actually doable with your Nintendo Entertainment System! What’s even more funny is the fact that my friend, who is 7’4″ can actually use this over sized Handmade NES Table Controller!

The seller says:

“I made this one of a kind coffe table for my room last summer out of an old Nintendo Controller, but now I have no place to put it. Not only does it look great, but it also plugs into NES console and works as a regular controller. Being a year old it has some minor cosmetic damage (the glass top is slightly scratched), but overall it is in very good shape. The handmade buttons and switches require occassional adjustments; however, this is very easy to fix just by removing the faceplate. The overall dimensions are about 50in x 21in x 17in. Its a nostalgic throwback to the original Nintendo Entertainment System and a great addition to any game room.”

Wow, this controller is only a year old so there shouldn’t be any electrical problems due to age. I would love to own this controller, but living in Canada limits you to many of the cool over sized video game items found on eBay since they are always located in the US. Nonetheless, this is an excellent opportunity to turn your game room into something more retro!

Common…this is cool no? Well, I’m not sure if the clubs I go to would allow me to walk in with Nintendo necklaces that size , but this is a real neat idea. Cute, fun, and charming at best! Necklances are done with legos which seems to be a lot of work! So I must say it is worth every penny. Seller says:

Mortal Kombat Trading Card – SIGNED BY D, Pesina – Haven’t seen anything cool for the original Mortal Kombat in a loooong time, but this is it. A signed Mortal combat Johnny Cage card by Daniel Pesina who played JC in the game. My question is how authentic is this? You think PSA/DNA have any “Daniel Persina” autographs in their database? You can give it a shot I guess. Seller says:“You are bidding on 1 Mortal Kombat trading card signed by Daniel Pesina. The card depicts Johnny Cage’s “Head Blow” move. Daniel Pesina, the actor who portrayed Johnny Cage in the early MK games, signed this card at a video game store for me.
The card has some white edges and is not in mint condition.”

Super Mario World Soundtrack USED – I thought I should add this auction to the psot because of the low price. Auctions at $35. I don’t think you should bid more. REALLY dark pictures, emphasis on the word “USED” makes me think the soundtrack is not in great shape. You can even see the discoloring on the CD if you look closely.

LIFESIZE Super Mario Stand Up – This thing is GIGANTIC! Look at the pic to see it against the wall. It’s really a shame the seller is located in the U.K for use N.American viewers. Ah well, hope someone over there takes advantage . Good price at 30 GPB
