Korean StarCraft Team Jackets,Jak & Daxter Press Kit and More

Today’s post has a great line-up of rarities from the video game world. To start things off, seller scmkore is auctioning off a bunch of Korean StarCraft Team Jackets. For those who don’t know, SC is literally a religion in Korea. Players are paid to play and it’s a full time job, playing 6 days a week from 8am – 10pm or even more. It’s very demanding and matches are even televised.

The seller has jackets signed by some power members of the CJ Entus team. The items are a bit unorthodox themselves as the jackets were worn by all-star members such as sAviOr & Iris, but signed by the new generation of players such as Hydra & EffOrt. The problem with these kind of items starting off with such a high price is that these items tackle a very niche market. The interested parties in the niche market are so low that the starting price already throws them off. Korean StarCraft games are not televised here in North America unless you watch it over the net, but the following isn’t as significant as over there. If you do follow the CJ Entus team and happen to have $300 to blow on souvenir jackets then the auctions were made for you!

Another side auction is taking place at marktplaats.nl under the computer software section. Seller H.J. Ruiter is letting go of his Pro Fighter X Turbo. If you’re interested you can email him by clicking the click above. You’ll need to click on the right, “E-Mail deze adverteerder”.

Basically the Pro Fighter X Turbo is an SNES copier which comes standard with 24Mbits. If you want to, you can expand it up to 64Mbits RAM. Its main specifications include built in 256K SRAM, and DSP compatibility. It’s functions include real-time save, auto gold finger cheats, and compatibility to run files from CD with the optional CD drive.What happens is when you turn on the Pro fighter X,it displays self test results. The utilities menu lets you backup carts, rename, delete, copy, format disks. The real-time save menu lets you load and save at any time during a game and use slow motion! There is an optional Smart Card interface for handling of Game Boy and Game Gear games with the Super Smart Card. It’s quite the device and you can have a lot of fun with it.

Jak & Daxter PS2 Press Kit – So for around $2100 US, you can get yourself this rare J&D Press Kit. Is it worth that much? I doubt it, but it is quite hard to find nowadays. The seller stresses that this is the press kit from the first game. There’s also a link in his description of an “unboxing J&D press kit”. What you get with the press kit is:
•Burn embossed wooden crate with rope bindings
•Bag made of caleco with Jak and Daxter shadow

There is some wear such as some broken wooden panels and the t-shirt is worn. So definitely overpriced auction. Send a couple of emails, maybe you can lower the price?
XBOX 360 8 mode Rapid Fire Bullet Buttons – I thought this was one heck of a controller! Seller says this is a “STEALTH” controller. Is obviously customized but it’s a hell of a job. Seller says, “Installed is one full set of custom made Winchester Brass 9mm Luger bullet cases to replace A, B, X, Y Buttons + 300 WSM guide button + 12ga dpad and the two 20ga thumb sticks.” The auction is filled with details so you can read all about it.
Legend of Zelda Board Game – Always popular among collectors. Already at $60 with 4 days left. Whats special about this auction is that the cardboard parts are unpunched.
L.A. Noire Black Caesar Popcorn Cup Promo PS3 Xbox 360 – Here’s a neat promotional item for the game L.A. Noire. Seller says: “This listing is for one brand new promotional Black Caesar popcorn cup. This is an authentic, fully licensed promotional item issued by Rockstar to celebrate the recent release of L.A. Noire. The cup is made of plastic, not paper or wax; so it should last you a good while, provided you care for it well. In terms of size, I would say that this cup is pretty much a 1:1 scale representation of the in-game cup. Morphine Tartrate not included”.

I have some cool auctions that I am still unloading from my watch list. I had to separate them into two different posts because there’s so many, but I picked and choose the ones I thought the VGA readers would find most interesting. So without delay here they are.

First auction is reallycool. It’s an official StarCraft 2 Zerg Pin from a PR event. It comes in a nice decorative box. As well the seller is selling a StarCraft 2 magnet from the same event. They’re pretty cheap given the fact they’re unique. I haven’t seen them before. I also assume there’s a set, one for Terran and one for Protoss. I’d love to have all 3 if that is the case. I’ll start searching.

The next auction is a Fallout “The Strip” Snow Globe from New Vegas. At first I thought it was custom but I am led to believe they were promotional items. I tried doing a search but couldn’t find anything on it. Although from it’s details it doesn’t look custom. If anyone has any info please post in the comment section. Currently there is a bid of $50 on it.

- Donkey Kong Country Returns: WOW!!! Take a look at that landscaping in the background! Nice job who had the contract.

Everquest Ultra rare Box Art, Metroid Phazon statue, StarCraft 2 Statue, and more!

Good morning VGA readers! Today I have some interesting auctions for you. You’ll see some extremely rare Everquest box art signed by the artist, a Metroid Phazon statue, a StarCraft 2 Tychus Findlay statue and some cool extras.

I can’t comment too much on this game other then seeing several friends play this game before me. Everquest was released on the 16th of March 1999. It was a massive online multiplayer role-playing game and had tremendous success until World Of Warcraft came along. But before that this game ruled the rpg multiplayer world. Just ask Akira, he was hooked for a while.

The art work that you see is an extremely rare “Everquest box art by Keith Parkinson. Keith sadly passed away in 2005. This print has long since sold out on his website. This print is a special limited edition of 15 with an extra remark dragon in the lower right corner. This print is #11 of 15. This had been framed and is in mint condition(Print has been removed from the frame and will be shipped in a rolled tube as it was received from the artist)”. Since I never played this the art is of no use to me, but if I did play this game I’ be going nuts! The art work looks so nice, this would definitely look nice on your wall.

The art work, like I said, is extremely nice and considering the artist Keith Parkinson passed away this will only become more rare. The seller has 4 different auctions on eBay right now so pick an choose below:

Next auction up for bid is an extremely rare StarCraft 2 Statue of Tychus Findlay. Here’s my input… there’s 1250 statues in the world. These have been selling for 900+ at the beginning. Now the demand has declined and sellers are still keeping it at 900+… If you reeeeaaallly want this then wait. The price will drop and you’ll have a few auctions that will start at nothing and probably go as high as $500(I might bid ). There is no need to get it right now. If there were only 100 made then BUY IT NOW! On top of all this I am still disappointed with Blizzard for waiting 11 years to release the second official StarCraft game. I played this in high school an was HIGHLY addicted. Then brood wars came it just added new maps, a few upgrades… still couldn’t complain. But as a SC fan I was waiting for SC 2 which was talked about back then. I figured for sure it would come out within the next 4 yrs, max 5. Never did… then they decide to release it 11 yrs after. I know they took time to work on it but still, a lot of die hard SC fans moved on. This is one reason why I didn’t buy it. Sometimes you need to release the fan base you have and capitalize on it and from a business perspective they would have made tons more money if it was released 5 yrs earlier.

If your heart is still full of StarCraft love then you might want to make an offer for the StarCraft 2 Tychus Findlay Statue which by the way looks beautiful. It’s made by SideShow collectibles so you know the details doing to be there.

Other:

Overpriced Metroid Phazon Statue Grrr… I had a chance to buy this at $120 when they were selling. Then people realized it was nice and bought a ton and now are selling it on eBay for 400+. If you’re like me and reeeeaally want this then I suggest waiting. Dedicate a search and save it so when one pops up you know if it’s a good deal. They will be dropping in price I can guarentee that.

Board Games based on “Video Games” – Part 2

Allllllllll righty! Today is the 2nd part of Board Games based on “Video Games”! I should have mentioned that they are from eBay. What is available on eBay will be showcased, if it’s not there I won’t showcase it.

Well we have a whack load of board games to show you! So I’ll just jump to the point!!

Video game “Board Games”:

- 1982 Pac-Man Board Game. This was the first Pac-Man board game. You can have up to 4 players and takes normally 20 minutes to complete a game. At the time this board game came out, it was very impressive that Milton Bradley was able to craft the board to look exactly like the video game. Everyone was amazed by this and it was quite popular back in 1982. Even years later when my friends talk about Pac-Man someone always says, “Do you have the board game?”. - 1983 Atari Centipede Board Game . What I loved about Milton Bradley’s 80′s line of board game’s is the art work. Check out the nice Centipede art work! Game comes complete and has a “buy-it-now” for $19.99! Never played this game before so I don’t know the details. Check it out here!

- World of Warcraft Board Game. I am very happy I didn’t get into this game because I’ve seen how power the game is; as in it really controls your life. However, the board game might be a good alternative to those who don’t have to become instant addicts like me . This WOW board game is the cheapest on ebay right now for $20 with no bidders. - Q-BERT Board Game. When I think of vintage games, Q-bert comes to mind. Yeah I know there are older games but Q-bert’s just different. To let you know what I’m talking about check out the box art for this board game. Come’s complete with a buy-it-now of $15.99! Q-bERT board game here!

- TETRIS Board Game. How neat is this? Supposedely these are very hard to find and like I’ve noticed there are none available in the US or Canada. But I did find one in the United Kingdom! - Pac-Man Card Board Game. Here is another Pac-Man board game but it’s different than the one I mentioned about. You play the entire game with cards. I’m pretty sure it’s the same concept of the pac-man game but done in cards. Buy this here for $12.99

- POPEYE Arcade Game by Parker Brothers. Now this isn’t based on the TV cartoon show, but rather than of the arcade game! This is so cool and would LOVE to see how this game is like in person!For a price of $14.95 I’m actually considering buying it myself. Looks mint and was NEVER OPENED! Awesome deal here. - Starcraft Fantasy Board Game. Wow….I had many great memories from this game. Playing at school, skipping school to play it, always on it, never wanted to go out with friends because of it, great memories! But seriously this game was one of the best on-line strategy games for the PC and can’t wait for SC 2! If you’re more of a board game player you can buy this game here!

- MS. Pac-Man Board Game. You can’t really go wrong with a $4 auction for a nice MS. Pac-Man board game. Buy MS. Pac-man here

King’s Quest Lithograph, StarCraft Autographs, God Of War 3 Autograph, Panzer Dragon Music Box, Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid and much MORE!

What a line up I have today for you gamers. Some really nice finds, in fact some are so rare it hurts to even see such items for auction, how someone out there can even part with them. Some of those are steals, while others are genuinely priced high, and rightfully so. I have a nice blend of new and old, console and pc, action and rpg auctions. Get your eBay watchlist ready because you will be keeping an eye on some of these gems:

Incredible! King’s Quest VI “Lord of the Dead” Lithograph. The image is done by artist John Shroades and was produced as a lithograph circa 1992 in a limited edition of 450 and sold through the San Francisco Art Exchange. This is number 347/450. It is enclosed in the original glass frame measuring 34 X 27 inches. King’s Quest VI Lithograph

What a rare KQ collectible… really… “Girl in the Tower” is a song from the soundtrack of the computer game King’s Quest VI. Mark Seibert wrote the song in 1992. The song is a love ballad between two of the game’s principal characters, Prince Alexander and Princess Cassima. Accordingly, the song elaborates upon Seibert’s “Princess Cassima’s Theme” from the King’s Quest V soundtrack. “Girl in the Tower” was digitally recorded, with Ron Delarm on guitar and Bob Bergthold and Debbie Seibert performing vocals. The vocal version of the track plays only in the CD-rom version of King’s Quest VI, although even this was remarkable in 1992.

When King’s Quest VI was first released on floppy disc, a pamphlet was included with the game listing various radio stations to which the song had been sent. Buyers were encouraged to call in and request that the song be played, but this campaign was unsuccessful. Listen to the Ballard below:

You have here 2 StarCraft posters signed by the development team. It’s authentic and out of this world! First StarCraft poster is signed in 2007 at Blizzcon, the second poster is StarCraft 2 signed by the dev team.

This is a beautiful Panzer Dragoon Music Box made by Sega. It’s authentic, it’s rare, it’s truly a hidden gem. It’s in excellent shape and comes with it’s original box. Buy the Panzer Dragoon Music Box here.

Here is a neat Zelda preprinted autograph by Shigeru Miyamoto. Would be really nice in a frame. This comes with a nice Nintendo certificate. Place a bid here!.

A great find, but a tad too expensive for a signed copy. Besides the ridiculous price it’s amazing to have this signed by Yuji Hori , the creator of the Dragon Warrior franchise. Really is an incredible signing but unfortunately the price is “out of this world” and even if it went for auction it wouldn’t sell for the true value of this gem. Work out a deal with the seller for his Dragon Warrior VII Signed $10,000. Check out the auction as he goes more into detail about this piece.
