The Oculus Rift has such potential. All we need are talented developers to take the wheel and head in the right direction. I imagined it would be amazing to watch a fireworks display with the OR. No one has really gotten’ fireworks right in video games or CG in movies. The way a fireworks explodes, casting shadows in every direction. Obviously… the computing power required to cast millions of shadows would be insane, but we’re nearly there. Anyways, I think that would be mind blowing with the Oculus Rift.

The Oculus Rift has a lot of potential for sure, and it’s nice to see these bad boys have a high end price which means there are people willing to “tackle” this virtual reality system. I’ve never thought about fireworks being such a complicated thing to do in CG or video games but now that you mention it I can see the difficulty in that!
