Any Metal Gear Solid fans out there? If you are then you’ll definitely dig this MGS 2: Sons of Liberty store display! It’s funny because I own this exact display still sealed and I bet my friend that this would not show up on eBay …… 🙂
Now what is it about game displays? Well, collectors want to always represent their love for certain games with a big bang! It’s as if they want people to see the “big picture” when they come over. You enter their game room and what do you see? This big MGS2 display and you already can conclude that they are big MGS fans. I have plenty displays of the games I love, and people always know what my favorite games are.
Whats interesting about this particular MGS2 display is the rarity of it. Many EB games destroyed this standee based of standard procedures, which makes this display quite rare. I knew this was the case with the Sons of Liberty display which is why I purchased it in the first place. But the seller claims only about 12 exist. I’m not sure about that, but then again I can’t say it’s not feasible. Seller says:
“You are bidding on an extremely rare item in the Metal Gear universe. This standee was placed at many EB Games stores in North America and it was used to display the newly released Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty game for the Playstation 2 in 2001. A short time after the release of the game all EB Games stores were instructed to destroy their standees as it is regular operating procedure. Based on my knowledge of this item there are less than a dozen left making this an extremely rare item. This standee is absolutely massive and is almost 6 feet tall and about 4 feet wide. It’s huge. What makes this item even more special is that I still have and will provide the original box and instructions alongside all of the display selves (6 disassembled and 6 brand new). The entire item is in near mint condition and is from a smoke free home.”

SNES Super Nintendo IN-STORE KIOSK Retail Display
You don’t have to be big into kiosks but you can’t deny the beauty of the SNES kiosk! Every time this kiosk appears on eBay, it’s always located too far away for me to bid on. This one’s particular located in Michigan. The SNES kiosk looks in amazing shape and works perfectly fine. It’s just a really cool item to have in your room. You can play right off of it and feel like your a child again at the game store trying out that new SNES games.
