Nintendo Soundtracks Recap

Last week I made a post for one of our readers who decided to list his entire video game soundtracks on eBay. I’m not sure how many followed, but it was rather interesting to see a bunch of soundtracks that are rarely seen on eBay all ending on the same day. Some soundtracks were free promos while others cost only $17 at retail back in the day. It was quite the success for the seller since the average selling price was $57.92. Here are the top 8:

  1. Donkey Kong Country 2 Soundtrack – $245.50
  2. Secret of Evermore Soundtrack – $200.50
  3. Killer Instinct Gold Soundtrack – $100.00
  4. 1080° Ten Eighty Soundtrack –  $78.00
  5. Secret of Mana Soundtrack –  $73.77
  6. DK Jamz Donkey Kong Country Soundtrack –  $61.35
  7. Yoshi’s Story Soundtrack –  $51.66
  8. Donkey Kong Country 3 Soundtrack – $51.00

Just a week before these soundtracks were listed, another Donkey Kong Country 2 Soundtrack ended at $425! It just goes to show you that the golden rule of same items being listed weeks later and ending at lower prices is true!

I would’ve been happy if it ended up being $500 total for all. It almost was 3 times that much. 🙂 Very happy indeed!

Great job! Sorry I couldn’t bid on any 🙁 I was planning to buy that Legend of Zelda Link to the past banner, but I was outbid $2.50. Oh well.

Oh no, it’s completely fine. I just chose not to bid, because I want to bid on other things.

It’s cool man… I didn’t actually place a physical bid. I had a budget price set in mind, I was going to bid but got outpriced.
