Sega Consoles, Wrist Watch, and Master System Collection

There are a few great Sega auctions on eBay right now and while checking through them, I came across an item that I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. The seller has listed it as being “one of  kind” but I can’t confirm this. It’s a nice looking wrist watch and appears to be a quality item…

Sega Wrist Watch

In the auction’s description, the seller makes a few statements about how they got the watch and why they’re selling it. Unfortunately, it’s a little difficult to know what they mean due to problems in translation. The watch isn’t numbered and it doesn’t have anything to show it’s age (such as a console name or game title). If anyone knows the story behind this watch, please post a comment!

There are a few more auctions of interest Sega fans should check out…

Sega Master System Complete Collection – This auction contains every US release for the Sega Master System, the console itself, three controllers, a light gun, and the Sega 3-D glasses with all cables. The price is high, but the seller is taking offers.

Sega Dreamcast D-Direct Custom Gundam RX-78 – This custom Dreamcast was available only through D-Direct and was limited to 78. This one is still sealed in it’s original box. The buy-it-now price is 2,000 euros but the actual price, as explained in the description, is 8,000 euros.

Sega Saturn Developer Kit – Dev kits are always interesting to me. The hardware used behind the scenes that was never made available to the public. Great item for a Saturn fan.

The Sega watch has been on eBay for many years now. I don’t think it has ever been taken down and no one can confirm the authenticity of it except for what the seller states. It’s really hard to say if it is official or not. It can go both ways but this is an older watch and I don’t recall many video game watches from the early 90’s have both the company’s logo on the front, as well as on the back where you change the battery. It’s really up in the air.

For some reason, I have a feeling that the watch was custom made by a company that makes watches by customer design. The reason being that “Sega” isnt written on the back plate at all.

Then again, there is a tiny “TM” next to the Sega logo on the face which would be left out on a custom job. I dunno…

I used to have a Sega Master System. I actually liked it and sometimes wish I never got rid of it.

I make sure to keep all of my Nintendo systems now. The only one I ever did sell was my Virtual Boy and games. Made a good profit on them many years ago. 🙂

I just saw all those soundtracks and I am drooling, listerally. I’m going for a bunch of them for sure. I think there’s going to be a post about this tomorrow. Wow so many goodies it’s like opening a chamber of video game secrets.
