Everything Factory Sealed Japan Import Limited Edition Nintendo (NES) Nintendo Wii Press Kit Soundtracks Super Mario Bros. 5

The Last Story Premium Soundtrack, Club Nintendo Statue & a Box of Cereal

The Last Story was released in Japan early this year. It’s the recent work from Mistwalker which is the development group responsible for the incredible RPG Lost Odyssey. Many key people who worked on the early Final Fantasy titles are now the core of Mistwalker and the quality of their games is clear proof of the reason why Squaresoft was so strong in it’s time and why today’s Square-Enix grows weaker by the year. This new game doesn’t have a North American release date yet, but cross your fingers because this game looks amazing. The soundtrack is another masterful work of beauty from Nobuo Uematsu. Even if they haven’t played the game, I’m sure every Final Fantasy fan out there would love this soundtrack…

Last Story Premium Soundtrack with Book

The Last Story Premium Soundtrack – The soundtrack available on eBay is the Premium version which includes a book of concept art for the game.

Here are a few Nintendo items of interest on eBay right now:

Club Nintendo Platinum Gold Mario Statue – This gold statue of Mario was available to Platinum Club Nintendo members and it pops up on eBay from time to time. The current bid is quite low and the auction closes today. If this is something you would like to have, get ready for a bid war.

Mario Sports Mix Press Promo Cereal – Mario Sports Mix had a strange promo item that went out to the press. It’s… a box of cereal. The only reason that comes to mind that Nintendo would decide to make boxes of cereal for Mario Sports Mix is that athletes being shown on boxes of Wheaties is something everyone knows about. If that’s not the reason then… Nintendo!wtf?

NES Action Set – This is common item but the price and quality really impressed me. The NES Action Set includes a Zapper, a Super Mario/Duck Hunt cart and an extra controller. If you’ve ever thought of starting up a real playable NES collection, this is a great start.

Great track…. Very gentle and sets the mood. I’ve always said that the music can make or break a game, despite how well the game is for example MM10. Yeah I know, you can’t compare 8-bit music with todays standards, but you get my point.

For sure… people often never think of the soundtrack as part of the game but, it is. You can play a great game to the end and love it… but again and again, the memory of the game will be a tune you hum over and over.

By the way, credit goes to Kenji for introducing me to the title a while back.
